An Urdu newspaper (Nai Baat) has claimed that Muttahida Qaumi
Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and five others associated with MQM
are not allowed to
leave United Kingdom.
The others who are not allowed to leave UK are Saleem Shahzad, Mohammad
Anwar, Tariq Mir, Raza Haroon’s wife Bushra.
The newspaper further stated that this step was taken by UK
authorities after interrogating 52-year-old Iftikar Hussain in
accordance with murder of MQM leader Dr. Imran Farooq. Saleem Shahzad
and Raza Haroon’s wife Bushra has also been investigated. Investigation
of this case has been widened to Pakistan and South Africa.
Authorities investigating Imran Farooq murder in London also met
Imran Farooq widow’s Shumaila Imran and asked her some questions,
security of Shumaila Imran has also been tightened further.
However MQM leaders have denied this media report and stated that
this report is a story of lies and nothing is true in this report. MQM
supporter while responding on this news story said that media should not
fabricate false stories and should only publish true and authentic
news.
